“Samsung Odyssey Masters’’ 

 

  1. Organizer

The “Samsung Odyssey Masters” competition (hereinafter: the Competition) is prepared, organized and conducted by: Good Game Global d.o.o., Škrlčeva 39, Zagreb, Croatia, OIB: 24167136338. 

 

  1. Duration, purpose and place of conduction

The competition is held for the purpose of promoting the brand, products and services of Samsung. The competition lasts from November 1, 2021 to December 21, 2021, and refers to the territory of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovenia, Northern Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. 

 

  1. The rules of participation

3.1. Application form  

The right to apply for the tournament in PUBG: Battlegrounds video game  (hereinafter: PUBG) and to participate in it in the event of selection is exercised by teams (hereinafter: the Team) consisting of 4 players (hereinafter: the Competitors) and who on the website samsungodysseymasters.com in the period from November 4, 2021 to November 14, 2021 fill out the application form. 

The application form is filled in by the team captain, and valid applications are those where the captain has filled in the following information: Team name, Team TAG (2-4 letters), Player 1 PUBG name, Player 1 Discord username, Player 1 Country, Player 2 PUBG name, Player 2 Discord username, Player 2 Country, Player 3 PUBG name, Player 3 Discord username, Player 3 Country, Player 4 PUBG name, Player 4 Discord username and Player 4 Country. 

At the end of the application form, the team captain must mark the field next to which it says "I accept Terms and Conditions" in order for the application to be received. 

In order to be eligible to participate in the Competition, the Team must also meet the following conditions: 

  • All Competitors within the team must have access to the PUBG video game 
  • All Competitors within the team must own or have access to a personal computer 
  • All Competitors within a team must have a valid Steam account 
  • All Competitors within the team must meet the age and residence requirements as defined in points 3.2 and 3.3.

In the period after the applications for participation in the Competition, the Competitor is obliged to additionally provide: 

  • A valid PUBG account as described in the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament 
  • A valid Steam account as described in the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament

Upon receipt of properly completed application forms, the Competition Administrators will contact the team captains via Discord to confirm entries and to be able to place the Teams in groups during the scrim days. 

3.2.  Age requirement 

To participate in the Competition, Competitors must be 16 years of age or older at the time of entry into the Competition. 

The organizer of the competition reserves the right to request an identity document of each Competitor in order to confirm the year or date of birth of the same. Satisfaction of any such evidence or documentation will be determined by the Organizer at its discretion (document such as: passport, driver's license, ID card or work visa with a photo, name and date of birth). 

3.3. Residence requirement 

Registered competitors must have residence in one of the following countries: 

  • Croatia 
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina 
  • Serbia 
  • Slovenia 
  • Montenegro 
  • Albania 
  • Kosovo 
  • Northern Macedonia 
  • Czech Republic 
  • Slovakia 
  • Hungary and 
  • Poland

Each team has the right to register one player from the EU region, regardless of whether the player is part of the main team or a substitute. The exception is the players of the CIS region, for which the administrators will decide individually. Players from the following regions are not allowed to play within this Competition: 

  • NA region (North America region) 
  • SA region (South America region) 
  • MEA region (Middle East-Asia region) 
  • APAC region (Asia-Pacific region) and 
  • OCE region (Oceania region)

The team captain must be a player on the list of countries for which the competition is conducted. A player from the EU region except from Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia cannot be the team captain. 

The organizer of the competition reserves the right to request an identity document of each Competitor in order to confirm his residence. Satisfaction of any such evidence or documentation will be determined by the Organizer at its discretion (document such as: passport, driver's license, identity card or work visa with a photo, name and physical address in the eligible country). 

3.4. Restrictions on the right to participate 

Restriction of participation in the Competition applies to employees of the Organizer and the Conductor of the Competition. 

3.5. Competitor Selection 

The team that correctly fills in the application form on the web samsungodysseymasters.com is entitled to participate in the Competition. 

3.6.  Errors and invalid applications 

Incorrectly or incompletely fulfilled conditions from point 3. for participation in the Competition create invalid applications and do not give the right to further participation. 

 

  1. About Competition

The competition is an esport online tournament in which correctly registered Teams will participate in the PUBG: Battlegrounds game, played on a personal computer (PC). The prize pool that Teams and Players can win by participating in this competition is described in point 5. 

The Competition is split into four phases: 

  1. Application phase 
  1. Scrim days 
  1. Qualifications 
  1. Finals 

4.1. Application phase 

Teams apply for the Competition at samsungodysseymasters.com by entering the required information. Entries are made according to the conditions set out in the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament. 

4.2. Scrims week 

In the first week of the Competition, all teams that have filled in the application form correctly will be invited to participate in scrim matches. By playing scrims, the best 48 teams are picked (according to the scoring scale) which will be distributed in the qualifying rounds in the next phase. At this stage of the competition, 16 teams will be placed in groups. One group will play a total of 4 consecutive matches, according to the following match schedule: Erangel, Erangel, Miramar, Miramar. At the end of this phase of the competition, the tournament moves into the qualification phase. 

4.3. Qualifications 

At the end of the scrim days, 48 best teams will be divided into 3 qualification groups. In total  qualifications will be divided into 4 rounds. The first three rounds are open, while the fourth, also the last round, is closed. After the completion of the qualifying groups, the best 2 teams (according to the scoring scale) go to the final phase of the competitions (known as finals), while the teams that are on the 3rd to 7th place in the ranking go to the last qualifying round. Thus, 16 teams will participate in the last qualifying round, of which 5 from each qualifying round, which were from 4th to 8th place, and the last place in the 4th qualifying round will be given to the team in 8th place overall in the first 3 qualifiers. Each qualifying round will play a total of 10 matches (5 per day), according to the following match schedule:  

  • First day: Erangel, Erangel, Erangel, Miramar, Miramar. 
  • Second day: Miramar, Miramar, Miramar, Erangel, Erangel

4.4. Finals 

The last phase of the competition (Finals) will be played across 2 days, where 16 teams will participate in the finals. These 16 teams consist of: 8 teams directly invited to the finals by the Organizer, 2 teams from the 1st qualifying round, 2 teams from the 2nd qualifying round, 2 teams from the 3rd qualifying round and 2 teams from the 4th qualifying round. The teams will play a total of 12 matches in the finals (6 per day), according to the following match schedule:  

  • First day: Erangel, Erangel, Erangel, Miramar, Miramar, Miramar 
  • Second day: Miramar, Miramar, Miramar, Erangel, Erangel, Erangel

Teams will be ranked according to the scoring scale in the finals. 

All details related to the Competition, such as technical requirements and specifications, communication channels and tools, rules of the game, Code of Conduct and obligations of the Competitor and other details related to the implementation and course of the Competition are given in the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament. 

The winners of the Competition will be selected by participating and placing on the scoring scale of the Competition, determined by the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament. The Organizer reserves the right to select an alternate winner of the Competition in the event that there is a solid basis to believe that the Winning Team has violated any provision of these Competition Rules or the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament. 

4.4. Timeline 

The Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament will be played on the following dates: 

  • Scrim days: in the period from 20.11. until 24.11.2021. (exact dates will be announced before the start of scrims) 
  • 1st qualification group: 28.11. and 29.11.2021. at 7:00 p.m. CEST 
  • 2nd qualification group: 4.12. and 5.12.2021. at 7:00 p.m. CEST 
  • 3rd qualification group: 6.12. and 7.12.2021. at 7:00 p.m. CEST 
  • Relegation group: 15.12. and 16.12.2021. at 7:00 p.m. CEST 
  • Finals: 20.12. and 21.12.2021. at 7:00 p.m. CEST 

 

  1. Prize pool

The total prize pool of the competition is €11.800,00 and according to the rank in the Competition it is divided into:

The Twire.gg Twire ranking for Player Stats will be used as the measurement for the title of the MVP.

Prizes are not transferable to third parties. Replacement of prizes for other goods or services is not possible, unless the Organizer explicitly states the right to make a replacement for prizes of approximate, equal or greater value, and in case the displayed prize is unavailable or not allowed by local law. All costs not listed above, including, without exception / limitation, all state, county or local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the individual winner. 

The winners of the Competition, when collecting the prizes, sign the document on taking over the prize as proof, and thus any obligation of the Organizer towards them ends. If the winner of the Competition does not sign or return the document on taking the prize, refuses or is unable to accept the prize, the right to the prize is waived and it is awarded to the first next Competitor determined according to the rank described in the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament. In a particular case, the prize will be delivered to the winners of the Competition at the address requested by the Organizer during or after the Competition. 

Prizes will be awarded to the winners within 60 days of the end of the Competition. 

 

  1. Winner announcement

The winners of the Competition will be announced during a live broadcast on the official YouTube channel of the Competition (https://www.youtube.com/c/GoodGameGlobal), Twitch channel of the Competition (https://www.twitch.tv/goodgameglobal) on the day of the finals and on the official Instagram profile of the Competition (https://www.instagram.com/goodgameglobal/) within 24 hours of the completions of Finals. 

 

  1. Processing of personal data

Good Game Global d.o.o. pays particular attention to the protection of personal data and privacy of its users in accordance with applicable regulations and best European practice. By accepting these Rules of the Competition and the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament, the Competitor gives the Organizer the right to use and process their personal data for the purpose of conducting the Competition, and includes the following information: 

  • name and surname, address, date of birth, e-mail, contact number 
  • Other information for the administration of the competition: PUBG name, STEAM account, position on the Competition rankings, etc. 
  • text and video materials created by participating in the Competition

By participating in the Competition, the participants give their consent for the use of their text or video materials created in this Competition in all promotional communication channels of the Organizer. We collect personal data for the purpose of performing the contract (enabling participation in the Competition and winning the prize). Personal data is processed in Croatia, and will be deleted after fulfilling the purpose, and no later than within a year. 

The personal data of the participants that will be collected within the Competition will be available only to the following subjects: 

  • Good Game Global d.o.o., Škrlčeva 39, Zagreb, Croatia, in the capacity of manager and executor of processing

The collection of personal data within the subject Competition is voluntary and necessary for the fulfillment of the contract. In the event that the Competitor (owner of personal data) decides not to share his personal data with the Organizer, he will not exercise the right to participate and be awarded the prize in the Competition. The Processing Manager will at any time allow the Competitor access to personal data relating to him, and correct inaccurate data or delete personal data of the Competitor at his request. The Competitor has the right to request a restriction on the processing of personal data and to file an objection to the processing. For all questions related to the processing of personal data, you can contact the Personal Data Protection Officer at the e-mail address info@good.game, and the Competitor is authorized to submit a complaint to the Personal Data Protection Agency. 

 

  1. Other

By participating in this Competition, each Competitor further agrees in law to assume sole responsibility for the Competitor's injuries, including personal injuries and / or material damage, caused or claimed to be caused by participating in any part of the Competition, or accepting, possessing or by using any reward. 

 

  1. Publicity

All commercial rights (including, without exception, all marketing and media rights) related to the Competition belong to the Organizer. 

Competitors will not associate with the Competition or the Organizer for any commercial purposes, nor will they use any intellectual rights of the Organizer, nor will they allow third parties to do so without the prior written consent of the Organizer, which may be granted or denied at the Organizer's discretion. 

Any Competitor wishing to engage in any promotional or marketing activities in connection with the Competition will require the prior written consent of the Organizer, which may be approved or retained at the discretion of the Organizer. 

The taking and sharing of images or recordings of the Competition for commercial purposes by or on behalf of the Competitor is strictly prohibited, unless explicitly approved by the Organizer. 

 

  1. Possibility of competition termination

The Competition may be terminated only in the event of circumstances for which the Organizer is not responsible, or which could not be prevented, eliminated or avoided, in which case the Organizer is released from all possible obligations to the Competitors. Competitors will be notified of the termination of the Competition via the official website of the Competition and other communication channels used in the Competition, and listed in these Competition Rules and the Terms and conditions of Samsung Odyssey Masters tournament.

 

  1. In case of dispute

In case of a dispute between the Organizer and the Competitor, the competent court is in Zagreb.
